| We read two books with mittens in the story We noticed that mittens come in pairs, and we listed all the different things that come by 2's - ears, eyes, nostrils, arms, legs, arm pits, feet, etc. We made pictures and put pairs of mittens in the pictures. We counted the pairs of mittens by 2's. |

| Samantha brought in 51 pom poms in the estimation jar. We counted them by 5's. |
