Writing Chinese Symbols and Numbers ~ Eyes ~ Snack

We read two books today that explain how certain Chinese symbols are created, and then we wrote the symbols from the book.  We first practiced with water and then wrote the symbols using paintbrushes and paint.  Later in the day, we practiced writing Chinese numbers.

We watched a few calligraphy videos.  It was interesting to see how quickly one person wrote and then how slowly another person wrote.  One of videos that we watched is now added to the blog.  Check the right side of the blog, above the Important Dates.

These are the books that we read.
We also learned some very cool things about our eyes in Science, and Katherine shared her Star of the Week snack.  Her snack began with the letter C.  Ask your KC kids what we had.
